Overview

SoluStaff is actively recruiting a Geographic Information System (GIS) Solutions Architect to support our law enforcement customer’s geospatial and analytical functions and initiatives.  The GIS platform is a fully tiered development, staging, and production enterprise environment comprised of database, web, and application servers. The platform hosts geospatial web applications and database services serving as a data aggregation and analytical application platform for our customer.  All work to be performed remotely.  Exciting opportunity to lead a GIS team that will develop cutting-edge data analytics platforms for criminal justice, public safety, and public health issues.

Responsibilities

  • Designs enterprise architectures including but not limited to Azure cloud deployments.
  • Manages cloud resources, metrics, logs, load balancers, etc.
  • Designs solutions within the Enterprise GIS environment to support business requirements, fit technology stack and operating environments.
  • Coordinate and conduct upgrades of enterprise GIS system.
  • Supporting the migration of services and applications to a production environment
  • Developing comprehensive logging/auditing capabilities that meet the CJIS (Criminal Justice Information System) standards

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university which has included major course work in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Geography, Urban Planning, Public Health, Natural Resources (analytical focus), Statistics, Information Science, or Civil Engineering.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Solutions Architect
  • Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise / Desktop / GeoEvent Server 10.8
  • Expertise in Microsoft Azure environment
  • Expertise in Advising and providing technical expertise on mobile device management (MDM)
