SoluStaff is actively recruiting a Microsoft Access Developer for our client based in Philadelphia. The Access Developer will be responsible for the deign, coding, development and implementation of a financial management database solution.  The Access Developer will be responsible for technical design, development, testing, and issue resolution.  


  • Design, develop, and implement a MS Access Database Application
  • Design, develop, and implement tables, queries, requested forms, and relationships
  • Assume responsibility of full project lifecycle
  • Provide application support
  • Keep a detailed record of planning and coding performed
  • Manage associated project timelines
  • Work with Financial Management to ensure changes are understood and approved
  • Manage scope adjustments through client change orders to ensure the Financial Database project delivers on timeline, scope, budget, and strategy expectations
  • Evaluate all key project deliverables, as well as, final product to ensure traceability of requirements,
  • Deliver high quality design (Planning and Coding) notes for future operations to modernize the application
  • Identify, track, manage and mitigate risk on the OIT Financial Management Database, and escalate any issues when necessary to ensure minimal impact to quality, budget, and timeline.
  • Migrate data to new database
  • Work with Database Management team to ensure database application is securely backed up
  • Support application issues and service requests as needed


  • A university degree in a related field
  • Five to ten years of experience working with Visual Basic-SQL and the MS Office Suite
  • Experience working in a Financial Management or Procurement system is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with many PM approaches/processes & comfort with adjusting to align with existing processes
  • Strong communicator comfortable with interacting at all levels of the business (including with command/executive leadership)
  • Previous experience with constructing a ground-up database with multiple data input sources
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time
