    SoluStaff is actively recruiting a Senior Application Specialist for its customer, located in Center City Philadelphia.  The Senior Application Specialist will be responsible for ensuring that a custom, enterprise web application being developed for our customer (by a 3rd party vendor) meets business requirements, assisting in the implementation of the application, and retirement of the legacy application.  The ideal candidate will have significant experience conducting user acceptance testing, developing documentation, facilitating software testing, and quality assurance in large enterprise environments.  This is a full-time position.

    Responsibilities

    • Create,maintain, and enhance the following: test, validation, and logging infrastructure for internal and third-party databases and software
    • Prepareperiodic reports on usage and metrics for the purpose of resource planning, customer support and strategic development.
    • Collaborate with members of the team and its customers to manage day-to-day issues and develop solutions to problems.
    • Collaborate with external software vendors as necessary to provide support for solutions and new development.
    • Perform User Acceptance Testing and other software testing efforts as needed.
    • Test issues such as system integration, performance, and system security on a regular schedule or after any major milestone is accomplished

    Qualifications

    • Completion of a BS or MS degree program at an accredited college or university, which has included major course work in Computer Science, Information Science, Systems Analysis, Software Engineering, or a closely related field
    • Database management systems such as ORACLE and SQL
    • Programming Languages: SQL, PL/SQL.
    • Organizational skills, problem solving and critical thinking
    • Software testing
    • Configuration of software features on complex systems
    • Work both independently and part of team
    • Strong verbal communication skills (oral and writing)
    • Experience with UAT and software testing
    • Experience writing and maintaining tools and scripts to support automation and operations
    • Experience collaborating with multiple teams
    • Experience with the SDLC.
