Overview

SoluStaff is recruiting a Business Analyst for its customer, located in Center City Philadelphia. The Business Analyst will be responsible for gathering important company data and compiling it into reports that shareholders and departmental managers can use.  The selected candidate will become a member of the project team and assist in the coordination, documentation, and development of business processes across multiple business units within our customer’s operating environment.  The result reports and documentation will be developed to maximize the value and adoption of the newly implemented systems.

 

Responsibilities

This is a full-time position.

  • Translate and develop business requirements into technical specification documents, describing the technical approach to addressing the business needs.
  • Review, modify, and develop business model analysis bases on the new systems’ innovative capabilities.
  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that document process changes due to the enhance capabilities of the new system.
  • Develop data models showing how implementing developed SOPs will improve productivity.
  • Complete peer and manager weekly reviews
  • Design solutions to support customer’s analytical requirements.
  • Participate in pilot studies of innovative strategies to enhance business processes.
  • Learn new technologies and determine appropriate uses based on user requirements.
  • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to identify needs and system requirements
  • Work with other departments on inter-departmental tasks and projects
  • Determine and document user requirements for business processes
  • Identify business trends utilizing real data, compile analysis reports that are delivered to developers and then follow-up on all results.
  • Implement a comprehensive management plan for each project and hold regular stakeholder meetings to keep all interested parties updated in project progress
  • Determine and document user requirements for business processes and abide by those requirements for future projects
  • Participate in pilot studies of innovative strategies to enhance business processes.
  • Learn new technologies and determine appropriate uses based on user requirements.
  • Consult with users, management, vendors, and technicians to complete programming needs and system requirements
  • Work with other departments on inter-departmental tasks and project

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in computer science, information technology/science or a closely related field with a minimum of seven years’ total work experience.
  • 5+ years of previous experience in Business / Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance
  • Proficiency in documenting use cases, BRDs, and web application requirements. Advanced proficiency with use of Microsoft Office applications including, Word, Excel and Visio and other tools used to document and track business requirements.
  • Understanding of Relational databases and advanced use of SQL query language
  • Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skills
