Overview

SoluStaff is actively recruiting a highly motivated, detail-oriented Sr. Technical Project Manager for our client, a healthcare payer in the Boston, MA area.  The Sr. Technical Project Manager will drive the activities of other Project Managers, Technical / Functional Analysts, Architects and Subject Matter Experts to ensure that the successful implementation of a core administrative platform aligns with strategic organizational goals.  The Sr. Technical Project Manager, utilizing previous payer platform implementation experience, will influence team activities, and collaborate and communicate with senior executives and stakeholders.  The ideal candidate must have experience in healthcare payer / insurance environments, possess their PMP Certification, and have a thorough understanding of healthcare payer IT systems (network management, sales & underwriting, member management, claims & payment, medical management, reporting, etc.)

 

This is a contract-to-hire position, and includes salary, comprehensive health benefits, 401k, and PTO.

Responsibilities

  • Design, derive and lead transformative approaches for technology systems
  • Manage teams in the identification of business requirements, functional design, process design (including scenario design, flow mapping), prototyping, architecture, development, testing, training, defining support procedures.
  • Define key technical and business functionality for net new and existing product integrations with partner applications
  • Proactively resolve implementation issues by identifying and delivering solutions.
  • Collaborate within and across the organization to ensure strategic direction is consistent and existing products are meeting business needs, or leveraged as appropriate
  • Manage day to day interactions with executive stakeholders and sponsors

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a computer and or business related field or equivalent combination of project management and IT skills and experience
  • Must be PMP Certified and proficiency in the use of project management software and application of PMI methodology
  • Must have thorough understanding of healthcare payer IT systems (network management, sales & underwriting, member management, claims & payment, medical management, reporting, etc.)
  • Must have strong understand and experience with the full SDLC and systems implementation
  • Previous implementation experience with HealthEdge and/or Facets desired
  • Must have Healthcare Project Management experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience leading and executing large, complex projects, delivering innovative and strategic business, technology and process solutions.
  • Must possess strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills for working with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of IT systems, processes and capabilities in a Healthcare environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Project, Excel, SharePoint and Visio
  • Possesses problem solving, team building and conflict management skills
