SoluStaff is recruiting an experienced Director of Business Applications for our customer, a national manufacturing and distribution company, located in Radnor, PA.  This position will lead and oversee all the activities and operations associated with our ERP platform (Infor SyteLine). The successful candidate will need to apply proven communication and problem-solving skills to guide and assist the business on opportunities and issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical information and software systems. S/he will participate in the creation and implementation of ERP strategies and manage on-going operations for all functional areas, including but not limited to supply chain, ordering, invoicing, logistics, inventory, and finance. The Director of Business Applications will have responsibility to promote industry best practices and bring forth innovative ideas and concepts that can positively benefit the ERP platform’s support of business operations.  These responsibilities include being a champion for security, segregation of duties (users/roles), SOX Compliance, maintain and support data refresh, data governance, audit trails, automation of repetitive administrative tasks, creating and maintaining reports, workflows, and system configurations.

  • Experience with best practices on setting up users, roles, security and audit trail within ERP System
  • Implements system changes by defining and analyzing system problems and user requirements; designing and testing standards and solutions.
  • Defines application problem by conferring with clients/users; evaluating procedures and processes.
  • Develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative solutions.
  • Direct and manage associates and contractors whom support the ERP System
  • Controls solution by establishing specifications; coordinating production with and overall management of the programmers/analyst team.
  • Work with Business Leaders to assess and prioritize application development and support activities
  • Validates results by testing programs or coordinating testing with users.
  • Ensures operation by training client personnel; providing support.
  • Provides reference by writing documentation.
  • Continuously identify risks and implement practices to mitigate their impact on the execution of the program 
  • Support timely, effective decision-making at the project and program level 
  • Engage in regular, impactful communication with all levels of stakeholders with the goal of fostering strong relationships and continued success of the ERP functions and platform 


  • Bachelor of Science degree in a computer or related field
  • 5-7 years minimum experience in ERP Program management role.
  • Expertise with enterprise ERP systems such as SAP, PeopleSoft, JD Edwards, Oracle; preferably experience with SyteLine
  • Instructional and leadership skills with small groups
  • Familiarity with the following business areas:
    • Distribution (Sales Order Processing, Inventory, Purchasing, EDI, Sales Analysis, Warehousing)
    • Manufacturing (MPS, MRP, Capacity Planning, Product Definition and Costing)
    • Finance Reporting (G/L, AP, AR)
  • Hands on experience working at a manufacturing, distribution or logistics company.
  • Experience leading Business Process Optimization and Automation projects
