SoluStaff is actively recruiting a Senior Systems Analyst for its customer, located in Doylestown, PA.  The Senior Systems Analyst will serve as a key technical resource for all functions related to the support of the physician practice community.  The focus of this position is to develop, implement, maintain, support and communicate information system methodologies in order to deliver high quality, responsive solutions and support to our physician practices.

This is a full time position with benefits.


  • Customer Service MIS competencies using Helpstar defined criteria.
    • Completes in a specified timeframe any special projects assigned, including ongoing communication to all involved parties with regular feedback and follow up. Meets MIS customer service competencies
  • Application Software Support
    • Researches user reported "bugs" and enhancement requests, submits change requests to eClinicalWorks as appropriate, and performs all follow-up activities to assure satisfactory resolution.
    • Identifies, communicates and coordinates implementation of all system hardware and software enhancements and upgrades as requested by both internal users and external entities.
    • Coordinates testing of new software releases and updates with the appropriate members of the physician office user community.
    • Develops and implements a methodology for communicating system changes and events to the user community. This includes designing and maintaining forms, templates and email correspondence related to the effective processing of user requests.
    • Provides on call support as scheduled in order to meet the needs of physician office customers.
    • Provides support for table builds and maintenance for the eClinicalWorks system and other supported applications.
    • Provides custom report development for eClinicalWorks and other supported applications using SQL, Microsoft Access, EBO, Crystal Reports and other proprietary programs.
    • Serves as a key technical resource for users of the eClinicalWorks application.
    • Conducts in-services to introduce the entire MIS Team to new hardware and software resources in order to ensure understanding by all.
    • Designs and conducts training classes for users of the eClinicalWorks application.
  • System Integration
    • Serves as a key technical resource for issues pertaining to eClinicalWorks and other vendor interfaces and data conversion processes
    • Provides support for the eClinicalWorks application to other vendor system interfaces
    • Handles system performance, interface and custom reporting issues related to the support of the NextGen product and other supported applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Outlook, and others as identified.
    • Attends appropriate seminars and training sessions to maintain or increase awareness of both insurance / regulatory issues and new systems and technology offerings, recognizing that all seminar and training opportunities may not be local.
  • Adapt Technology to Business Needs
    • Continually influences, enhances and improves eClinicalWorks utilization through technical innovation.
    • Identifies and implements opportunities for improved system utilization
    • Participates in task forces or committees as the need arises
    • Develops and maintains policies and procedures to support the activities of the position.
    • Works closely with physicians and physician office staff to provide orientation and training for system usage. Seeks out ways to make the system work more effectively and efficiently for the user.
    • Provides training classes, when appropriate, writes and updates training materials for systems being developed or current systems being enhanced.
  • Problem-Solving Skills
    • Utilizes effective critical thinking skills when resolving a technological or other type of problem.
    • Works to continuously develop problem-solving skills that minimize risk and exposure to the MIS department and Doylestown Hospital. Learns from past experiences and applies knowledge to other situations.


  • Associate’s Degree in Business, Information Systems or related field desired, Bachelors' Degree preferred.
  • Three to five years’ information systems experience in a physician practice environment preferred.
  • Three years experience in a physician practice environment using an automated practice management system.
  • Demonstrated understanding of office workflow, scheduling, third-party billing and business management.
  • Skill sets desired but not required include desk-side user support; end-user training in a classroom environment; demonstrated experience interacting with all levels of end-users; knowledge of industry-specific hardware and software applications (e.g., Microsoft); the ability to function effectively and efficiently in a team environment.
