Overview

SoluStaff is actively recruiting an experienced Network Infrastructure Project Manager. The Network Infrastructure PM will be responsible for managing multiple large and complex information technology projects in respect to security and infrastructure.  Primary focus will be the build out of two new customer facilities, which includes data circuit procurement and implementation, server and infrastructure builds, and PC deployment. The role is to plan, direct, and coordinate the design, installation, and connectivity of computer systems, core applications and network infrastructure to ensure the stable operation of our customer’s IT assets. Duties will include planning and estimation, requirement gathering, analysis, design, testing, and implementation. 

 

The majority of work is to be performed on customer site, which is located in the Villanova area of Philadelphia, PA.  Intermittent travel to remote site(s) is expected. 

Responsibilities

  • Meet with executive staff and IT personnel to review business requirements and existing IT support functions
  • Design and implement short- and long-term strategic plans to make certain network capacity meets existing and future requirements.
  • Plan, acquire, and coordinate installation of in-house and remote hardware and software across the organization’s network.
  • Conduct research and make recommendations on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
  • Prepare RFPs, bid proposals, contracts, scope of work reports, and other documentation for IT projects and associated efforts.
  • Perform cost-benefit and return on investment analyses for proposed systems to aid management in making implementation decisions.
  • Manage and ensure optimal operation of all network hardware and equipment, including routers, switches, hubs, UPSs, and so on.
  • Manage and ensure effectiveness of security solutions, including firewalls, anti-virus solutions, and intrusion detection systems.
  • Test network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining network infrastructure.
  • Test server performance and provide network performance statistics and reports; develop strategies for maintaining server infrastructure.
  • Practice network asset management, including maintenance of network component inventory, life cycle management and related documentation.
  • Drive planning and execution of multiple interrelated infrastructure projects.
  • Review network topology diagrams
  • Manage IT resources and develop detailed project plans
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement new server infrastructure services 
  • Manage the assessment and procurement of data and telecom circuits
  • Assess data cabling requirements and manage installation

Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Higher degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or related fields required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of (10) ten years’ experience in the IT industry
  • 3+ years of IT Project Management experience
  • Experience with Data Center, Compute, Storage infrastructure projects.
  • Extensive experience with Active Directory implementation and management
  • Experience with Switches, Routers and Firewalls in a multi-vendor environment (primarily Cisco)
