SoluStaff is actively recruiting a highly motivated, detail-oriented Senior Project Manager for our client, a healthcare payer in the Boston, MA area.  The ideal candidate must have experience in healthcare payer / insurance environments and possess their PMP Certification.  The Project Manager will focus on the quality assurance of front / back-end system integration with the core administration system.  The Project Manager will work with key stakeholders, operational and business units to track project plans, key milestones, tasks, risks and schedules for complex IT deployments. 


  • Oversee QA of systems integration, including planning, design, building, testing, training, communications the management and deployment of detailed project plans
  • Provide issue tracking and resolution
  • Accountable for Project Deliverables
  • Evaluates/Monitors work on a daily basis
  • Identifies resource needs, performs quality review and escalates functional, quality and timeline issues accordingly
  • Provide detailed status reports to key business and IT stakeholders
  • Ensure project milestones are achieved
  • Identifies, evaluates and documents lessons learned during the project


  • Bachelor of Science degree in a computer and or business related field or equivalent combination of project management and IT skills and experience
  • Must be PMP Certified and proficiency in the use of project management software and application of PMI methodology
  • Thorough understanding of healthcare payer IT systems (network management, sales & underwriting, member management, claims & payment, medical management, reporting, etc.)
  • Must have strong understand and experience with the full SDLC and systems implementation
  • Must have strong understanding and experience in Healthcare
  • Must have Healthcare Project Management experience
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience leading and executing large, complex projects, delivering innovative and strategic business, technology and process solutions.
  • Must possess strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills for working with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization
  • Knowledge of IT systems, processes and capabilities in a Healthcare environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Project, Excel, SharePoint and Visio
  • Possesses problem solving, team building and conflict management skills
