Overview

SoluStaff is actively recruiting a Business Analyst for its Philadelphia-based client. The Business Analyst will work closely with stakehlolders to develop new solutions, while also supporting the existing portfolio of IT applications. Primary responsibilities of the Business Analyst will be to translate and develop business requirements into technical specification documents, and document technical approaches to address the business needs.  The Business Analyst will participate in each phase of client projects,  including: Discovery, Requirements, Design, Development, Deployment and Operations.

Responsibilities

  • Work with IT resources and other departments on inter-departmental tasks and projects
  • Create and execute unit test plans based on enhancements outlined in assigned tickets to exercise the technical changes, specifying expected results and actual results.
  • Conduct business observations and facilitate focus group sessions, vision exercises, and design review sessions.
  • Develop technical documentation and detailed user guides for end users based on approved changes and enhancements made by developer(s)
  • Asses and Triage customer’s technical issues
  • Complete peer and manager weekly reviews
  • Participate in pilot studies of innovative strategies to enhance business.
  • Learn new technologies and determine appropriate uses based on user requirements.
  • Develop business process and work flow diagrams.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships and foster continuous communication.
  • Provide assistance with project scoping and planning.
  • Development of Use Cases.
  • Development of Test Cases for user testing.
  • Work closely with the project team on system development and design on an on-going basis. 
  • Conduct and prepare Knowledge Transfer sessions and periodic reviews as needed.
  • Build an organized library of all business analysis documentation.
  • Accountable for gathering stakeholder sign off on all required documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a computer and or business related field or equivalent combination of project management and IT skills and experience
  • 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Experience in MS Office Products Word, Excel, Visio, etc
  • Expert experience in Change Management, Resource Allocation, Facilitation, Workflow Analysis, and Document Development
  • Thorough understanding of SDLC methodologies
  • Familiarity with Oracle E-Business Suite and .NET development
  • Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills
