Overview

SoluStaff is actively recruiting for an Epic Security Coordinator – SER Lead for our Healthcare client in Manhattan.  The candidate will be part of the enterprise Information Security & Risk Management team which is responsible for securing all corporate assets and deployment of security technologies. The EMR (Epic) SER Lead will be responsible for the administration and coordination of all tasks related to SER (Provider records in Epic), security tools, policies and processes surrounding the EMR. This position will also work closely with Corporate Compliance, Clinical Information Systems, Security & Risk Governance and Identity & Access Management to ensure NIST 800-54, HIPPA Security Rule and OIG guidelines are being followed and confidentiality, Integrity & Availability of EMR data is maintained at all times. The Epic SER Lead will also provide structure and guidance to Clinical Information Systems department as well as outside HHC entities that deal with systems access. The SER Lead provides outstanding client service and contributes to the department and organization’s mission of utilizing information technology to improve patient care

 

Responsibilities

  • Must have a thorough knowledge of with SER master file
  • Guide Application Support Analysts in mapping providers to specific application based template
  • Establish SER ownership and change delegation guidelines , such as determine which application team or SER workgroup member owns what items , direct item questions to the appropriate SER workgroup member , understand integration points and consult the other applications for approval ; maintain the SER Fields and Owners spreadsheet and other build tracking materials
  • This position requires a well understanding of how Epic applications integrate and how multiple applications use the same settings of SER records as this position manages coordination between applications, such as ensuring on each Epic application is well assessed and understood when SER settings are to be changed
  • This position develops, owns and maintains the standard Provider Matrix and provider setup process. Develops, owns and manages all other SER standards and processes. This position requires strong collaboration with hospital credentialing and provider management
  • Responsible for SER implementation and maintenance including planning , implementation , testing, quality assurance, documentation , and users acceptance criteria for Epic master files relating to providers
  • Will provide day to day troubleshooting, analysis and resolution related to provider record issues, including 24/7 on support call
  • Coordinate SER record build with user record build
  • Must have a working knowledge of how to load external provider extracts from outside organizations to the external provider directory in Epic
  • Develop and deliver the appropriate SER record maintenance reports, such as Duplicate Providers report, the Unverified provider report
  • Must having working knowledge of Data Courier

 

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate Degree with a major in Computer Science or related filed
  • Epic Certified , Knowledge of excel
  • 5 or more years work experience with IT system administrator functions in large scale, complex, infrastructure environments
    • At least 2 years' experience in Healthcare Information Technology (HIT) security.
    • At least 1 year experience with Workflow Engine, Epic applications, Epic build
  • Working knowledge of HIPAA
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office suite and applications.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience dealing with end users.
  • Self-directed and able manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and have the ability to develop relationships
