SoluStaff is actively recruiting for a full-time Senior Systems Analyst for our client in Brooklyn.     The candidate will conduct systems analysis to determine user needs for systems applications, formulates and designs system scope and objectives. Analyst may devise or modify procedures to resolve complex problems considering hardware/software capacity and limitations, operating time and desired results to meet the needs of the user.  Responsible for design, coding, testing, documenting and maintaining complex applications. Designs and implements new systems features and customizations, including writing of SQL/SQR, query, Crystal reports as appropriate. Provides maintenance and production support for existing system.


  • Designs, codes and implements systems and systems reporting customizations.
  • Performs system testing of new modules and enhancements.
  • Collects and analyzes data and troubleshoots system issues.
  • Relies on knowledge of function for which the application was designed to assist end users.
  • Conducts testing of system and application, monitors changes and enhancements.
  • Chairs/participates in system implementations and committees, including conducting meetings.
  • Addresses and resolves system/application issues including third party application and interfaces in a timely manner.
  • Interfaces with users in order to define system requirements.
  • Successfully trains users regarding new systems functionality.
  • Acts as a liaison for MIS and end-users.
  • Acts as a resource for staff for technical programming and system issue resolution.
  • Analyzes, tests and de-bugs new functionality and software upgrades.
  • Researches and resolves any referred help desk calls.
  • Documents system procedures.
  • Assist users to develop reports.
  • Works with other Departments to maintain systems and applications.
  • Maintains all system documentation, security and QA as per department policy.
  • Adhere to the change control process when implement test plans and project plans.
  • Utilizing the change control process, works with both end users and technical team to ensure changes are documented correctly.


  • BS in Computer Science 4-year degree in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred or must have 2 years of college or technical training.
  • Professional licensure a plus where appropriate.
  • Technical training with certification (e.g., CNE, Network Engineering).
  • Assists team members with problem resolution.
  • Provide support/guidance to systems users (Network and PC operating systems, hardware etc.).
  • Required: 3-5 years of systems experience on a clinical system or non-clinical system in programming and development.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of Clinical Systems experience, relevant clinical experience of 3-5 years or >5 years of Computer Systems experience.
  • Experience writing SQL/SQR, queries and Crystal report
  • Position requires strong analytical and problem solving skills with demonstrated initiative and flexibility to meet deadlines and end user expectations.
  • Excellent communication skills in both written and verbal communication.
  • Preferred: Healthcare provider industry experience.
