    SoluStaff is actively recruiting for a full-time SQL Database Administrator (DBA) for a client in Brooklyn, NY. .

     

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Essential duties include database maintenance, performance monitoring and tuning, designing procedures for benchmarking and ensuring information security
    • Configuration and maintenance of databases on production and staging servers
    • Communicate directly with team members/support team to diagnose and resolve issues
    • Coordinate and perform database installations, upgrades, and patches
    • Work with other team members to continually improve our delivery and processes
    • Actively participate on project team meetings to achieve team goals
    • Compliance with business policies and industry standard best practices with regard to database security, recoverability, and auditing
    • Create and maintain documentation of DBA procedures, policies, and system configurations

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • Strong SQL Administration skills
    • Maintain, administer and tune of databases, employing various techniques such as schema bound views, database partitioning, and ETL/Query optimization
    • Experience in SQL database development
    • Builds and maintains complex Scripts, Stored Procedures, Triggers, etc.
    • A Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics or equivalent is required
    • 5+ years of work experience in SQL database administration
    • Experience with SQL database installation, administration and performance tuning
    • Partitioning and Data Warehouse
    • Proficiency in SQL coding and performance tuning
    • Develop, maintain, and optimize programming code for maintenance jobs and application reporting tools. Develop shell scripts as required
    • Willingness to participate in team on-call rotation, and perform off hours work as needed
    • Strong technical skills
    • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
