SoluStaff is actively recruiting for Allscripts Application Analysts for upcoming projects in the NYC area.   Analysts will be responsible for maintenance and upgrade of the Allscript Clinical/Revenue Cycle Applications. 



  • Design, develop, modify, and test application programs and procedures of moderate to high complexity
  • Adheres to established application coding standards
  • Participates in and conducts peer reviews of application code
  • Analyze user processes and procedures and documents functional requirements
  • Prepare functional and technical specifications for programs and procedures of moderate to high complexity
  • Provides ongoing end user support
  • Analyze operational and technical problems to determine the root cause and propose solutions.
  • Identify test criteria, prepare and stage test data, and participate in system and integration testing
  • Prepare end-user, computer operations and help-desk documentation, adhering to established documentation standards
  • Conduct end-user training. Establishes good working relationships with users, managers, subordinates, and
  • Independently resolves the most complex, multi-function application errors and system issues
  • Manage system enhancement requests directly with the vendor and various IT Technical teams
  • Lead and/or facilitates system design, validation and/or remediation sessions
  • Lead projects and functions as a subject matter expert on complex, cross-functional projects
  • Advanced understanding of how the assigned application(s) impacts or is impacted by other systems throughout the client application architecture and works directly with the Application Integration team to resolve complex data integration issues



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related area, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum five (5) years experience with the application, module or equivalent system as assigned
  • Experience in one or more of the following Allscripts SCM: Allscripts Ambulatory, Critical Care, Mobile Care, MObile MD, Surgical Care, Emergency Care, Pharmacy, Radiology, Patient Record, and Knowledge-Based Medication Administration adn revenue cyle modules
  • Experience with Unloading and Loading files for Allscripts SCM
  • Knowledge/understanding of SQL
  • Knowledge of functional areas supported, including basic concepts and terminology, automated processes and procedures
  • PC applications, including Word, Excel and Visio.Must be able to analyze and resolve problems and communicate with end users and management in a non-technical manner
  • Knowledge of Nursing, Pharmacy and/or Emergency Department workflows to include areas/workflows such as clinical documentation, regulatory, pharmacy, other clinical areas and the ability to translate requirements of other departments that provide direct patient care.
  • Functional knowledge of HL7 interfaces and the ability to analyze interface errors from various clinical and revenue cycle point of view.  (i.e. adjust dictionary, interpret data flow and how data interacts on a global/enterprise level)
  • Ability to represent Clinical Department needs in a complex multi departmental setting to then be able to offer focused solutions that take all angles into consideration
  • Primary ownership for the build and maintenance of highly complex system dictionaries, profiles, tables and other configuration points
  • Knowledge of software and tools required to support Allscripts Sunrise Applications such as programming tools, application tools, operating system software, database software, and other 3rd party products
