Overview

SoluStaff is actively looking for PeopleSoft Supply Chain Consultants to reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs for our client in NYC. This position will primarily serve as a PeopleSoft subject matter expert for the PeopleSoft Supply Chain Management implementation modules including: Order-to-Cash (OTC), Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Record-to-Report (RTR), Inventory, Purchasing, Sourcing, Shipping, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, eProcurement (requisitions), Contract Management, Costing and Configurator.  This person will be the liaison between IT, Finance, and the Procurement departments. 

Responsibilities

  • Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs.
  • Gather business requirements performing fit/gap analysis, and developing functional specifications for data conversions and customizations.
  • Prepare and coordinate business requirements and specifications, then submit the request(s) for review  
  • Participate in the functional and technical design, prototyping, configuration, testing, and overall maintenance of the system
  • Advise project team on best practices related to configuration and setup of the Supply Chain Modules.  
  • Assist the team in making the best strategic configuration decisions.
  • Support configurations, customization, reports, interfaces, and user training.
  • Modify or develop new queries and reports in PeopleSoft as needed.
  • Provide production support, assist with knowledge transfer activities, and manage an overall smooth transition process by retiring legacy systems throughout the client organization.
  • Interpret business related information to assist management with resolving problems and to improve the efficiency of ERP systems
  • Provide insight and recommendations for process improvement opportunities

Qualifications

  • A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Computer Science, Systems, applied Mathematics, Business Administration, Economics/Statistics, Human Resources, or a related field of study; and
  • Five (5) years of progressive, responsible experience in the field of data processing, computer systems and applications.
  • Successfully completed and/or involved in at least one full life-cycle PeopleSoft Supply Chain implementation and/or upgrade. 
  • Must possess at least 3-5 years of experience in a functional role using PeopleSoft Supply Chain modules including: Order-to-Cash (OTC), Procure-to-Pay (PTP), Record-to-Report (RTR), Inventory, Purchasing, Sourcing, Shipping, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, eProcurement (requisitions), Contract Management, Costing and Configurator.
  • Working knowledge of PeopleSoft Application Engines, Component Interfaces and PeopleSoft query management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with ability to identify problems and determine corrective actions.
  • Effective collaboration and communication skills as well as an ability to handle multiple assignments in a timely manner with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Experience mentoring junior staff
