SoluStaff is actively recruiting for multiple highly motivated, detail oriented Epic Revenue Cycle Analysts, II for our client in NYC.  The Epic Revenue Cycle Analyst, II must have at least 5+ years Epic experience in gathering requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. The Analyst must be able to critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Candidate should also be able to develop and modify requirements documentation to meet client’s needs and must have proficiency with the general structure of the Epic EMR.  Excellent understanding of clinical terms is required for facilitating collaboration with developers/QA testers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs. This position calls for someone with excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical and product management skills, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.


  • Interview users, stakeholders, and sponsors to assess departmental needs to create Business, functional and technical requirements documents
  • Analyze and document client's business requirements and processes; communicate requirements to technical personnel by constructing basic conceptual data and process models, including process flowcharts and technical specifications
  • Decompose information gathered into details including sources of data, data types, users, user types, interface components, interface navigation needs, reporting needs, and administrative system needs
  • Define external interfaces, constraints, quality and other non-functional requirements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
  • Provide Project Management with identified risks, concerns, and ambiguities discovered during requirements gathering and work with the Project Manager to complete requirements documentation on schedule
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and provide analysis, propose change strategies, and communicate proposed strategies appropriately
  • Expected to take a consultative approach with stakeholders while presenting information that is both presentable and organized
  • Ensure software development team accounts for all defined requirements during development and coordinate with QA team for maximum application coverage
  • Documentation of Software Test Plans, Technical Documentation, Release Notes, User Guides, and Training and other materials as necessary
  • Participate in special projects as needed and performs other duties as assigned



  • Candidate must be Epic 2014 Certified and have experience in the one or more of the areas of certification

    • Resolute Professional Billing
    • Resolute HB Claims
    • Resolute HB Billing
    • Cadence
    • ADT/Prelude
  • A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, Information systems, business administration or equivalent experience or education is preferred.
  • 5+  years experience as a Business Analyst working on software or web-based products
  • Knowledge of the EPIC  EHR (Electronic Health Record application
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and must be able to work independently yet be a strong team player/leader
  • Presenting concepts in a concise and focused manner, including narrative, process diagrams, role and accountability diagrams and business-focused story boards
  • Possesses excellent organizational skills and is detail oriented
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, highly analytical and possess strong problem solving skills
  • Demonstrates the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize work to meet adapting deadlines
  • Experience and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite including Visio and Project
  • Understanding of software User Interface design, software development life cycle or Joint Application Development, and knowledge or exposure to project management methologies
  • Knowledge or experience in a multi-tiered architectural environment, SDLC, and a familiarity with web-based technologies
