Overview

SoluStaff is actively recruiting a highly motivated, detail oriented Senior Project Manager for our Healthcare client on Long Island.  The ideal candidate must have experience in large healthcare systems and possess their PMP Certification.  Individual will work with key stakeholders, clinical and business units to tracking project plans, key milestones, tasks, risks and schedule. 

Responsibilities

  • Overall coordination of all phases of the project life cycle including planning, design, building, testing, training, communications and deployment throughout the Corporation of detailed project plans
  • Must have thorough knowledge of and experience utilizing PMI methodologies
  • Must have strong understand and experience with the full SDLC and systems implementation
  • Must have strong understanding and experience in Healthcare
  • Provide issue tracking and resolution; Accountable for Project Deliverables; Evaluates/Monitors work on a daily basis; Identifies resource needs, performs quality review and escalates functional, quality and timeline issues accordingly
  • Provide detailed status reports to key business and IT stakeholders
  • Ensure project milestones are achieved
  • Identifies, evaluates and documents lessons learned during the project

Qualifications

  •  A Bachelor of Science degree in a computer and or business related field or equivalent combination of project management and IT skills and experience
  • Must be PMP Certified
  • Must have proficiency in the use of project management software and application of PMI methodology
  • Must have Healthcare Project Management experience
  • Must have 7 years of previous experience in project management field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience leading and executing large, complex projects, delivering innovative and strategic business, technology and process solutions.
  • Must possess strong negotiation, interpersonal and communication skills for working with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated understanding of the software development lifecycle
  • Demonstrated understanding of the full life cycle technical project management and business analysis
  • Knowledge of IT systems, processes and capabilities in a Healthcare environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite: PowerPoint, Word, Project, Excel, SharePoint and Visio
  • Possesses problem solving, team building and conflict management skills
