Overview

SoluStaff is actively recruiting a Senior Director of Healthcare Applications and Data Integration for a large healthcare organization in New York City.  The Senior Director for Application and Data Integration will provide direction and leadership to the Integration team. This role is responsible for the management of the Integration team on projects/tasks and initiatives that support the organization. This individual will engage and collaborate with all enterprise programs and projects to deliver on all the enterprise integration needs to be successful.  This will included but will not be limited to; data conversion, integration, and migration, provide a high level of customer service, partner with end users in the resolution of application, deployment of new software applications, and integrated solutions.  

Responsibilities

  • People leadership responsibilities for this position include:
    • Improve bench strength by aligning team members along key competency areas
    • Talent development, assessment and seeking cross functional development opportunities for staff
  • Develop and maintain an integration architecture blueprint for the organization
  • Orchestrate integration projects and corresponding strategies between business units and development teams
  • Design integration solutions between numerous Health Information Systems, clinical and ancillary healthcare systems
  • Plan, execute, and manage the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise
  • Ensure that integration projects meet business requirements and goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues
  • Ensure that integration planning and practices are aligned with strategic business goals and the company’s overall strategic vision
  • Develop standards and processes to support and facilitate integration projects and initiatives

Qualifications

  • A Minimum Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree desired
  • A minimum of 15 years of IT experience is required
  • Well-developed Project Management, Presentation, and Facilitation skills are required
  • Extensive experience with Integration Technologies is required
  • Application integration development experience in a Shared Services environment is preferred
  • Demonstrated success throughout his/her career across diverse cross-section of technologies and project roles is required
  • 5+ years managing Enterprise Integration project teams through the full lifecycle - scoping and planning, requirements gathering, design, development, testing, go-live etc
  • Strong implementation experience in the following areas: Data Integration, Data Conversion, Data Quality, Metadata Management
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible management positions in complex organizations required
  • Demonstrated success with high visibility projects, leaders in technology use and development, change management, budget and business case development and staff development
  • A minimum of 5 years of People and Organizational management experience is required
  • Experience developing and implementing both short-term and long-term strategic programs focused on providing observable, measurable improvements to end users, operational counterparts, and business partners is required.
  • Hospital and/or other health care application experience preferred
  • Expert level knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical / Health Record (EMR) systems, integration technologies, and healthcare transaction standards (HIPAA, HITECH, Healthcare Reform).
  • Specific knowledge and expertise in acute-care or post-acute-care system integration solutions and projects required
  • 5+ years demonstrated hands-on experience utilizing one or more of the following:  Intersystems Ensemble, eGate , OPEN Link, intersystem healthshare , eLink, iSirona ,Capsule Epic Bridges 2010 or greater
  • Experience with healthcare clinical and financial applications
  • Strong background in risk management methodologies as they relate to integration/software engineering
  • Knowledge of relational database design and management techniques
  • Competency with XML constructs and schemas
  • Confidence and experience with API protocols and schemas such as SOAP and REST
