Overview

SoluStaff is actively recruiting a MS Project / Project Server Applications Analyst for a large healthcare organization in New York City.  The organization’s IT Project Management Office requires a ful-time Applications Analyst who is a subject matter expertfor the overall planning, implementation, management and maintenance of 2013 Project Server and Microsoft Project 2012.  This individual will lead in the creation and delivery of technical training for this software to all levels of IT professionals and end-users within the organization.

Responsibilities

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Develop, configure and maintain document libraries, enterprise lists and site collections
  • Perform typical system administrative activities such as site creation, user training, backup, restore and issue resolution
  • Administer MS Project Server software for IT offices and various business units
  • Provide application-level support for the Project Server 2013 environment
  • Provide end user support, basic troubleshooting and problem solving with Project Server and Microsoft Project 2012
  • Manage permissions, add/change/delete users within the Project Server
  • Work with Project Managers/Business Analysts to design and develop solutions to address business needs and opportunities, and propose changes to make this software more effective
  • Identifying gaps and opportunities to extend Project Server value to end users
  • Create custom reports within the Project Server tool
  • Act as a resource for Project Managers and Trainers
  • Work with system administrators, database administrators, network engineers, and other counterparts to monitor and ensure the overall function, performance, and availability of 2013 Project Server and Microsoft Project 2012

Qualifications

  • 5+ years’ experience administrating and configuring Project Server
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred, Preference given to Information Management Services, Business or other Science or Health Services concentration
  • Working in a health care setting and/or services organization preferred
  • Must have thorough understanding of the Project 2013 client/server integration
  • Experience administering and troubleshooting in Project Server 2013 environment
  • Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • High degree of responsiveness and ability to work collaboratively with other team members in supporting multiple clients
  • A strong understanding of a project or systems delivery lifecycle
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to communicate solutions
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, MS SharePoint and MS Visio as well as PPM tools
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced, rapidly changing high performance environments
  • Excellent attention to detail, follow-through and organizational skills
  • Ability to translate strategy and objectives into manageable, step by step action plans
